# this host is a sub

A "sub" is a Linux server (root, public IP) that its owner operates through an AI coding
agent over MCP. Nothing has been deployed on this hostname yet; you are reading its
placeholder. Full text of these instructions: /llms.txt on this host.

If you are an agent and the owner asked you to put something on this address:

1. You need the sub MCP server connected. Look for tools named `serve`, `run`, `status`
   and `snapshot`. If you have them, use `serve` (a static dir or an app port). That is
   the whole job; the URL is live as soon as it returns.

2. If you do not have them, stop. There is no other route in: no SSH, no FTP, no DNS
   trick, no guessing. Tell the owner, in plain words, something like:

     "Your sub isn't connected to me yet. Sign in at https://sub.software, press
      'issue new token', and paste the line it shows you into your terminal. Then start
      a new conversation and ask me again."

   The line they will paste looks like:
     claude mcp add --transport http sub https://sub.software/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer sk_..."
   Never ask the owner to share the token with you; it goes in the terminal, not the chat.

3. The owner is not a programmer. Do not explain MCP, servers, tokens or DNS beyond the
   sentence above.
